Report:sailed out from amlwych aboard the predator on a wrecking trip. Noteable catches of the day were an 8lb huss and an 11oz colourful cuckoo wrasse. Other species included Mackerel Pouting and Lesser Weavers

Had a go at the 30min window near Town Hall steps by the rocks and some good size rays with a couple of cod before finishing off by Mariners Wharf. Mark had had his best bass from Formby in near identical conditions 2 years ago and so he knew the beach could produce. Report:Fished off Conway Star on a 12 hour wrecking trip off Great Orme.r Set out for a mackerel bash for bait, and bash it was, full houses every time.r A few Launce caught on smaller shrimp Hokias,Also 1 horse mackeral caught.r After an hour or so we headed out to the wrecks,Which produced several species and a few personal bests for me :)r Large baited Hokias produced Tub Gurnard to 5lb, Red and Grey Gurnard,r The usual LSD's showed their snouts in numbers,Bull Huss to 10lb,r Large bronze pouting, and whiting showing in large numbers to feathers around wrecks.r Pollock around in smaller numbers to 5lb on jelly worm.r Also a few Thornies to 8lbr Last wreck we visited on the way back a diving team had just finished their dives and where setting off on the way back,one of the divers shouts over "you can't see for fish down there, thousands of them! Nice view of HMS Ark Royal and the biggest oil tanker to go up and down the Mersey for many a year. Ended with 7 cod between 2.5 and 5.5lb and 8 thornback the biggest of which was a 9lb 12oz personal best and a few more dogs and whiting. with the thought of big ones to come.
